Nothing is more important to me than seeing a student progress and enjoy their musical experiences.  My goal as an instructor for over twenty years has always been to bring out the best in every player while learning the basics extremely well from the start.  This has always proven over time to give my students great pride in themselves from their very often tremendous playing abilities. 

    Home-based instruction gives me many opportunities that I would not have in a store or other location.  I enjoy sharing my collection of recordings, books, music, instruments, and flute opportunity information with all of my students on a regular basis.  It offers a quieter environment for both of us to work and play together during lessons.  I am under not bound to selling  specific instruments or use specific repairmen, etc., so am free to help students choose what is going to best for them and their playing based on my long-term experience.  .
